Our Commitment
Safari Reports is committed to accurate, fair, and independent journalism covering Kenya’s political, economic, and social affairs. We hold ourselves to the following standards in every story we publish.
How We Report
– Verification before publication. Every factual claim in a Safari Reports story is checked against at least one primary source (official statements, documents, court filings) or two independent secondary sources before publication.
– Attribution. We name our sources wherever possible. When a source requests anonymity, we explain why in the story and ensure at least one editor knows the source’s identity.
– Separating news from opinion. Reporting is kept factual and neutral. Any analysis, opinion, or commentary is clearly labeled as such and never presented as straight news.
– Political coverage. In covering candidates and elections, including the 2027 general election, we seek comment from all relevant parties and give proportionate coverage to competing claims.
Corrections Policy
We correct errors quickly and transparently.
– If you believe a story contains an error, please contact us at [corrections email] with the article link and a description of the issue.
– Minor corrections (spelling, dates, titles) are fixed in the article with no separate note.
– Substantive corrections (factual errors that affect the meaning of a story) are noted at the bottom of the article with the date of correction and a brief description of what was changed.
– Where a story is found to be materially wrong, we will publish a follow-up or retraction as appropriate.
Our Team
Safari Reports bylines represent named, accountable journalists. Each reporter’s author page lists their coverage areas and prior work.
Advertising & Sponsored Content
Safari Reports clearly labels any sponsored or paid content as “Sponsored” or “Advertisement.”
Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers and are never influenced by advertising relationships.
